Melissa Grubb, Head of School
This campaign is of the utmost importance and urgency. Our aspirations to reach new heights in academics, athletics, arts, service, and community building are contingent on these new facilities that we need. We have been outstanding stewards of the facilities we have. We use every square inch of this campus. If I could find another square inch, we would use it for something else fabulous, but we don’t have it – and we need it. We have maximized every inch of our current space, embodying exceptional stewardship, yet we urgently need more to fulfill our growing needs. This expansion will benefit every student from kindergarten to grade 12, continuing a legacy of philanthropy that is the cornerstone of our school's foundation. Our current facilities, from the entirety of the Southwest Parkway campus to the McGill Chapel to the Kindergarten and Dell Hall, all exist due to the generosity and vision of those before us. Now it's our turn to step up, not just for our current community but for future generations, ensuring they too can enjoy and benefit from our vision and commitment.
Steven Fletcher, Head of Upper School
This 3-5 year plan shows a sense of urgency. It shows that we’ve been watching, observing, and listening to what happens at both campuses. It represents our commitment to continuous improvement without losing momentum. Moving the Middle School to Southwest Parkway will be transformative for our students and teachers. By having Upper School students on the same campus, Middle School students will get an amazing look at their future at St. Andrew’s by seeing their older peers engage in advanced STEM classes, high-level literary analysis, and spectacular theater productions. It also will allow our teachers to collaborate more frequently, enhancing the educational experience for everybody on campus. This plan is about giving students what they need to succeed. With the new Middle School and 6–12 STEM Center, scholars will benefit from flexible, technology-enhanced classrooms and design labs that deepen inquiry and ignite curiosity across disciplines. The Student Union provides collaborative spaces that support study groups, tutoring, and intellectual engagement outside the classroom.
The STEM Center includes purpose‑built arts and design studios enabling students to explore visual, performing, and digital arts in state‑of‑the‑art environments. Combined with the Student Union’s film room and creative lounges, the campaign fuels artistic expression across all four pillars.
The Athletics Complex delivers multiple practice courts, a competition gym, strength and conditioning facilities, and a dance studio, transforming training and competition logistics and enabling St. Andrew’s to host home tournaments for the first time. These world‑class spaces elevate athletic performance while promoting wellness and community pride.
By expanding community spaces like the Student Union and providing a secure, welcoming hub for gatherings, the campaign enhances opportunities for service‑oriented programming, student leadership, and collaborative outreach events. These new physical spaces support servant leadership programming and meaningful engagement across campus.
